LOVEBIRDS PLANNING TIP OF THE WEEK

If planning a wedding, beware of falling down the Pinterest’s deep, dark , never ending hole.  It is an excellent source for inspiration not duplication.  We tell our brides to create a separate board for each facet of the wedding (flowers, linens, photographer etc). On each of these boards limit yourself to 10 pins.  If you have 10 pins, and see a bouquet you love, delete a pin before you add the new one.

Martha Stewart Weddings...

When I was 17 I already owned the iconic coffee book/hard cover, 18 pound book by Martha Stewart, titled Weddings. She was only a handful of people who took pride in details in event planning. Her style is enough but not too much…. a style I gravitate towards. As I get older (it happens) I still have a conservative , classic aesthetic , however I am now more apt to take chances. Couples don’t want a cookie cutter day, and we don’t either. This is the time to bring out the personality of you both as a couple…. so bring it on !! Move over Martha … the only rule is there are no rules….

Spring may be coming...

It is a very busy season for wedding planners….. 87% of couples get engaged between 12/24 and 2/15. There are major rushes to book the perfect venue and the most elegant dress (that makes you look 8 pounds lighter)…. oh and yeah could we do it on a Saturday in June . Sense of humor goes a long way … planning can get away from you… Be sure to remember what is important ….. and enjoy the warmth of spring…
